We are thrilled to present the incredibly talented Trina Sarkar as a soloist in Aikyam on June 15th! ✨
Trina Sarkar began her Odissi training under Smt. Nandita Behera at the age of 5 in Los Angeles, CA. Since then, she has been performing both nationally and internationally at venues such as the International Odissi Dance Festival in Bhubaneswar, the International Arts Festival in San Francisco, the International Odissi Festival in Charlotte, North Carolina, and the Indian Fine Arts Festival in San Diego. She was also selected as a National YoungArts finalist for World Dance in 2012 and a Smaran Dance Festival participant in 2019. She now lives in NYC and trains under Smt. Niharika Mohanty as a senior Guru Shradha ensemble member, and also teaches at Guru Shradha.

Today’s the day! After weeks of hard work and joyful rehearsals, we’re so excited to perform Lalita Lavanga at Vishwa Shanti’s Kanha Kanna…My Krishna! We hope to see you there!

Get ready for a stunning performance! We’re thrilled to have Namrata Mohanty as a soloist in Aikyam on June 15th! ✨
Namrata Mohanty began learning Odissi at the age of five under Guru Dr. Chitra Krishnamurti, Founder-Director of Nrityalaya School of Odissi Dance in Maryland. She completed her solo debut under Dr. Krishnamurti’s tutelage and was a prominent performer in Nrityalaya and the DC/Maryland area, with notable performances at Strathmore Mansion, Gandhi Memorial Center, Catholic University of America, and the Kennedy Center. Namrata returned to Odissi in 2019 with Guru Shradha and has since performed in The Nutshell, Drive East Festival, and Kelucharan Keerti Sampradaya as a member of Guru Shradha’s Ensemble. Namrata continues to hone her Odissi dance under Niharika Mohanty, with workshops under master teachers Guru Ratikant and Sujata Mohapatra, and has become a key dancer and teacher with Guru Shradha.

Prepare to be captivated! We’re delighted to present Divya Saha, a soloist in Aikyam on June 15th!
Odissi has been an integral part of Divya’s life since the age of seven. She began her Odissi journey in 2003 under the guidance of Smt. Nandita Behera in Southern California. Since 2006, she has had the honor of learning from Smt. Niharika Mohanty, Smt. Sujata Mohapatra, and Sri Ratikant Mohapatra and was part of the inaugural class of Guru Shradha in 2008. Throughout her time at Guru Shradha, where she now also teaches, she has had the opportunity to perform in numerous programs across the United States and India. One of her fondest memories is representing Guru Shradha in both a solo and ensemble performance at the International Festival in Bhubaneswar, India, in December 2011. Grateful for the training and experiences provided by Guru Shradha, Divya looks forward to continuing to learn and grow as a dancer for years to come.

You won’t want to miss Maya Gollumudi’s incredible performance as a soloist in Aikyam on June 15th! ✨
Maya started dancing at age 6 with Guru Shradha. She is grateful for the discipline and work ethic she gained from learning at a young age with Rini Apa and continues to be inspired by her teaching. Maya’s milestone performances include Guru Shradha’s 2008 school opening, Samsmaranam 2012, Odissi International 2014, dancing in Guru Sujata Mohapatra’s troupe at the Chinmaya Mission in 2016, and KKS 2023. Much of Maya’s Odissi training was completed with her mother, Vasanta Gollamudi. Maya’s training was further enriched through workshops with Guru Sujata Mohapatra, Guru Ratikant Mohapatra, and Guru Vishnu Tattva Das, with additional training from Smt. Geetanjali Acharya. Maya danced on UCLA’s award-winning Indian Classical dance team, UCLA Taara, where she showcased her own Odissi choreography in competitions nationwide.
